The Town would like to invite you to submit a volunteer application to serve on one of Waxhaw's Boards or Commissions.  Below are guidelines for completing the application and a current list of openings.   

Need more information before deciding what Board or Commission to apply for?  Click on each individual Board/Commission page to the left for details.  For additional information you may want to review the 2017 Edition of the Board & Commission Orientation Manual.  
 
 
 Guidelines:

1) One application per Board or Commission; You may apply for multiple boards/commissions.  
2) Members may only serve on one board or commission simultaneously
3) Applications may be completed online or Stop by Town Hall for a Paper Application
4) Applications may be completed and are accepted at any time
5) Applications are held for consideration for 1 year
        

Current Open Positions:  

1 - Board of Adjustment - Alternate (BOA)
1 - Main Street Advisory Board (MSAB)
3 - Parks, Cultural & Recreation Advisory Board (PCR)

***All Boards and Commissions except for the Main Street Advisory Board will have some member terms ending on September 30, 2017.  Applications for consideration of these 3-year term membership seats will be accepted by the Clerk's Office until June 30, 2017.  Applications will be reviewed by the Clerk's Office and the Organization Advisory Board (OAB); applicants may be contacted/interviewed by the OAB in July/August.  The OAB will make recommendations to the Board of Commissioners by September and the Board of Commissioners will make appointments prior to September 30, 2017.  Please contact the Town Clerk's Office for additional information or click the 'Volunteer Application' link at the top of this page to apply now.
