Planning Board Virtual Regular Meeting (9/21/2020)

The Town of Waxhaw Planning Board remains committed to providing an open, transparent public process, even amidst the challenges we face due to the local and global health pandemic, COVID-19 (Coronavirus). The Planning Board and town staff are working diligently to ensure operational continuity in these challenging and uncertain times.

Governor Roy Cooper has issued Executive Orders 117, 118, 120 and 121 that impose restrictions intended to slow the spread of COVID-19, which includes limiting large events and gatherings of more than 10 people. For the public’s safety and compliance with the Governor’s Executive Orders, the Town of Waxhaw is converting the regularly scheduled Planning Board meeting for Monday, September 21, 2020, at 6:30 pm to a virtual format using the Zoom meeting platform. While the public is not permitted to gather in person to participate in this meeting, there are options to participate remotely:

TO WATCH LIVE: Meetings will be available via Zoom, https://us02web.zoom.us/j/82069167701. All meeting participants (board members, department heads, staff liaisons, and presenters) will participate in the meeting electronically. All attendees, including the public, will be able to see and hear the meeting participants in real time. An account is not necessary to join the meeting.

PUBLIC COMMENTS: Members of the public may wish to submit comments that are related to the agenda or are general in nature. Public comments may be submitted through the town’s Public Comment Submission Form, which can be accessed through the following link: http://forms.waxhaw.com/Forms/PublicCommentSubmissionForm. Comments submitted through this form will be read into the record during the meeting. Public comments are limited to three minutes in length per person (approximately 300 words) and the Board will allocate fifteen minutes to read the submitted comments. Any comments not read during the meeting due to the time limit will be recorded in the meeting minutes. Public comments will be accepted through 5:00 pm on September 21, 2020.
