Public Input Opportunity for the 2050 Metropolitan Transportation Plan

The Charlotte Regional Transportation Planning Organization (CRTPO) began public outreach on Thursday, November 19, 2020 for the update to its 2050 Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP). The CRTPO is the federally-designated metropolitan planning organization (MPO) for the Charlotte Urbanized Area, which includes Iredell, Mecklenburg, and the urbanized portion of Union County.

CRTPO will host a virtual public meeting allowing stakeholders to learn more about the development and importance of CRTPO’s 2050 MTP on Thursday, December 17, 2020 from 4 – 5 PM. This meeting will include a panel of transportation influencers from around the state. The panelists will discuss the current transportation opportunities and challenges within the Charlotte region, and how the 2050 MTP can help address transportation needs for the future. Join us by filling out the online RSVP form.

Throughout the 2050 MTP planning process, several resources will be available, geared toward engaging residents in the process, helping to educate stakeholders about transportation planning efforts in our region and providing opportunities for the community to voice their opinions. Visit the 2050 MTP website and follow CRTPO on Facebook (www.facebook.com/crtpo) and Twitter (www.twitter.com/cltregionaltpo). In addition, a toll-free hotline, 800-777-8961, offers instructions in ten languages to allow callers to leave a message with their feedback.
