Waxhaw Parkway Northeast Corridor Information Session

6:30 – 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 25th

Waxhaw Police Department Community Room

3620 Providence Rd. SouthWaxhawNC 28173

The Town of Waxhaw will host a public information session to provide a brief history and current status of the Proposed Waxhaw Parkway-Northeast Corridor alignment, from NC 16 to NC 75.

Town staff and Neil Burke, Planning Coordinator for the Charlotte Regional Transportation Organization (CRTPO) will present relevant information, and staff from NCDOT and Union County Transportation Planning will also be on hand to facilitate the meeting.

This is a preliminary public outreach session to clarify the current planning efforts. There will be an opportunity to provide written comment or, for those unable to attend, an email address will be added to the Town of Waxhaw website ( for residents to provide their comments.

This is not intended to be a discussion regarding the potential alignment, as it is too early in the process to contemplate such detail. The goal is to provide relevant factual information for public understanding, and gauge response at the local level to inform the preliminary funding prioritization process.
