Your mouth will water from the sweet smell of barbecue cooking on the grills of barbeque teams during the Grill’n & Chill’n BBQ Cook-off held in October as part of the Autumn Treasures Festival. This unsanctioned cook-off will have teams competing for People's Choice titles and bragging rights for the best BBQ in Waxhaw!

It’s a little piece of hog heaven, so come join us for Grill’n & Chill’n in October!

About the Competition

The teams will arrive on Friday and cook all night. On Saturday from 11 am - 1 pm, the teams will have a public tasting where YOU are the judge. The team with the most votes for Best Boston Butt and Best St. Louis BBQ Ribs will be named the winner. All ticket sales from this event help local charities. Winners are announced Saturday at 2 PM.

You’ll definitely smell the sweet smell of the ‘que! Come downtown for the 12th annual Grill’n & Chill’n BBQ Cookoff public tasting from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM on Saturday 10/12/2024. Local teams will compete for bragging rights in the Barbeque cook-off with a public tasting of some awe-some que and ribs. Cost is $10 for 10 tasting tickets. Here is the ticket tasting breakdown:

1 oz BBQ Sample = 1 ticket

1 Rib Bone Sample = 2 tickets

Skip the ticket purchase line and buy your tickets in advance! Click HERE to purchase your tickets. Advanced ticket sales will end October 9th. After that, tickets will only be able to be purchased in person.

After you sample the BBQ, vote for your favorite team! The winning team will earn bragging rights for the best BBQ in Waxhaw!

All proceeds go to a local non-profit. You won’t walk away hungry!
