Do you have a desire to get involved in our wonderful community but don't know where to start? Did you know that the Town of Waxhaw has seven active volunteer advisory Boards & Commissions whose memberships are appointed by the Board of Commissioners? There is truly an area of interest for everyone. Find out more about what each of the Boards/Commissions do to help enhance the Waxhaw community by visiting each individual page to the left. Volunteer for a Board or Commission today! The Waxhaw Board of Commissioners believes that all citizens have the right to participate in making town decisions. By being appointed to advisory Boards & Commissions, citizens are able to help make valuable decisions about and for the Town of Waxhaw. The Board of Commissioners makes annual appointments in September (terms begin October 1st and most are for 3 years) and at various times throughout the year when vacancies occur. I'm interested! How do I apply? View the Boards and Commissions Volunteer Opportunities page and complete the online application. Applications will be automatically forwarded to the Clerk's office and presented to the Board of Commissioners for review and consideration. For more information or to obtain a paper copy of the application, contact the Clerk's Office at 704-843-2195 during regular business hours.
