Impairment begins with your first drink. You have everything to lose! For safety's sake, never drive after drinking!
In North Carolina, a Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) level of 0.08% is all that is necessary to be convicted of Driving While Impaired (DWI). Effective July 1, 2000, the new law establishes a BAC limit of 0.04% for those who have been convicted of a DWI and have had their license reinstated. For commercial drivers, a BAC of 0.04% can result in a DWI conviction nationwide.
