Did you know that commercial, residential, non-profit, or church structures 50 years or older that are located in the Building Exterior Improvement Grant boundary, are eligible to be paid 50% of construction costs for work done to the exterior of your structure? The Town of Waxhaw reimburses up to half of project costs with an approved Building Exterior Improvement Grant! This year we are excited to have $65,000 to allocate to the grant! These funds are available now!

Background

In 2010, the Board of Commissioners began setting aside money to aid properties in downtown Waxhaw. Downtown Waxhaw is an asset to the Town and the Region, and it is well documented that a vibrant downtown can bring economic benefits to the larger community.

The motivation behind the program is to help property owners with projects that may get put off due to budget constraints or other reasons. The hope is this program will spur interest and investment in our downtown so that it will continue to play an integral role in our community.
